Underwater and Travel Photojournalism French Free-Lance Photographer, Writer and Web designer
"From the Carribean to Celebes Seas, from Paris' wet streets to Nepal's scattered
landscapes, photography and journalism gave me the unvaluable chance to reach some
of the most exquisite places in the world. While focusing on Asia's
extremely fine underwater realm, I found an unlimited source of coloured textures and
patterns to fill-in thousands of emotional compositions, helped by the curiosity and expression
of the marine inhabitants. Staying constantly in the mood of modern technologies and
digital image processing, I am still very proud of having shot about 700 rolls of film over 10 years
under the best light and using the finest camera equipment. While being constantly active in
the internet diving advertisement field, I travel many times a year back to Asia
photographying and reporting about the last few sanctuaries on earth, that glorious places
that the world must respect and venerate to keep it's own breath..."

The awesome wonders of Earth's true final frontier - the depths of the sea, are captured beautifully by French photographer, Bertrand Chauvel. In Bertrand's portfolio, there lies a mystery and passionate beauty within his images, which connects with the heart and the soul. Very few subject matters can capture such demading attention than that of tropical sea life, within its natural habitat. The vivid colors and sharp detail obtained by today's cameras and films within the tropical environment, work together to "strike a cord" unlike any other in the vast medium of photography.
The eye for detail and obvious experience in Bertrand's images, place his work in a class of its own. Our staff was in complete awe with the incredible beauty and natural wonder of Bertrand's underwater photographs, and we believe you will be as well. Through photography, Bertrand truly captures the grandeur of Earth's final frontier!
